Summary: Greene is one of the most rounded and complete OT prospects UW has ever landed. At 6’6 320 Lbs. Greene already has a college ready body and he has anchored the OL for one of the best HS teams in America for the past two years. He is incredible agile and light on his feet for his size, while being viscous and aggressive in run blocking.
High School: Mater Dei (Santa Ana, CA)

He is rated the 20th overall player in the country, 4th OT overall, and the number one player in California. It is the first time in the modern recruiting era that UW has landed the highest rated player in California by 247’s rankings. Shaq Thompson was 2nd by 247, but 1st in the composite rankings.
The Recruitment: Greene has been a top prospect since he was a sophomore at Eastside Catholic in Sammamish, WA. He was drawing interest from all the top programs including Alabama, Michigan, and Texas among many others. When Scott Huff was still the OL coach, UW was the early leader for Greene. After Huff moved on to the NFL and Greene moved from Washington to California, Oregon quickly began to emerge as his leader. Oregon capitalized on that momentum and landed his commitment in mid August 2024 where he would remain solidly committed for quite awhile. Towards late winter/early spring 2025 Greene was making visits to UW and local USC and Texas was also pushing very hard for him. UW made a hire in February that would change everything. They hired away Marcus Griffin from Cal to become their new Director of Recruiting. After that Greene’s trips to Montlake became more frequent and on April 24, 2025 Greene officially flipped from Oregon to UW. His relationship with coach Fisch and coach Switzer were important, but his relationship with Marcus Griffin was easily the largest driving force to bring Greene home. It also certainly helped that Greene’s brother Kayden is also on the team, but Griffin deserves credit for the win of landing Greene.
Roster Impact: I know many people are going to call for the five star freshman to start right away. I understand that position since you want five stars to make an instant impact, but OT is one of the hardest for true freshman to make an immediate impact at a top program. In a perfect world, you would like him to redshirt and then have 3-4 years of domination on the OL, but I think Greene is too talented to be left off the field next year. The OL is relatively young and next year it could be (left to right) John Mills (So.), Paki Finau (So.), Landen Hatchett (Sr.), Champ Taulealea (rFr.), and Drew Azzopardi (Sr.). It will depend on how coach Switzer wants to use Greene, but he could certainly start his career at guard like other successful LTs have. Drew Azzopardi may be a senior, but I think that Greene could seriously push him not only for playing time, but the starting job as well. When you watch Greene’s highlights below, you will see that he is more advanced as a run blocker and that starting at RT may be more beneficial to his development early on rather than throwing him on an island at LT right away.
