Indianapolis Colts quarterback Daniel Jones is playing through a fibula injury.

According to Ian Rapoport, it is a fracture that Jones is working through.

It is an injury that Jones and Shane Steichen have said that the quarterback can play with, and he will continue to do so. However, that does not mean that there isn't some sort of impact that comes with having to navigate such an injury on Sundays.

ESPN NFL insiders Jeremy Fowler and Dan Graziano recently emptied their notebooks with what they're hearing around the league. One of the topics of conversation in this week's article was Jones' injury.

"He's clearly not 100 percent," wrote Folwer, "and coaches I've talked to who have watched the Colts closely say his mobility appears compromised."

Graziano had this to say:

"I spoke with some folks in Houston after the Texans-Colts game Sunday and they said they felt Jones really couldn't move at all. He was able to hit some shots downfield when the pocket held up, but the mobility part of his game is missing, which makes the offense seem more limited."

Along with Jones' injury, Graziano mentions the impact on defense with Indianapolis not having DeForest Buckner in the middle of that front. He is currently on injured reserve with a neck injury.

Houston was very efficient against the Colts' defense on third downs in last week's game.

At 8-4, the Colts are tied in the wins and losses column with the Jacksonville Jaguars -- although it is Jacksonville who holds the current tie-breaker and AFC South lead.

With two meetings with the Jaguars over the final five games, the Colts can still control their own destiny when it comes to the division, but they'll have to navigate a difficult schedule. And doing so will also require much improved play from the offense as a whole.
