Abbott Elementary is tackling one of the hardest parts of growing up: Realizing that sometimes, girls like the same things as boys. Shocking! We are excited to share a new exclusive sneak peek from Season 5, Episode 7, "Goofgirl," which shows Garden Goofballs getting a new member. Gregory realizes that his gardening club is full of boys who thought that this was a very different kind of club when a girl joins their ranks. Abbott Elementary has gained plenty of critical acclaim across its five seasons. The series was created by star Quinta Brunson and has served as a lovely return to the mockumentary genre, with a cute romance between Janine (Brunson) and Gregory (Tyler James Williams) to boot.

The logline for the episode is as follows: "A new member joins Gregory’s Garden Goofballs, and Janine pitches a new club idea to Ava." The seemingly club-based episode is a fun one for the series, and if the other "club" is based on a Janine idea, you know it is going to be a fun time watching Ava (Janelle James) try to tell her it isn't a good idea when it most definitely is.

In our exclusive clip from Season 5, Episode 7 "Goofgirl," Gregory tells his Garden Goofballs that they have a new member named Cece. Instead of welcoming her to the club, all of the boys think that the club is exclusive to boys, even adding to the name and calling it "Garden Goofboys." When Gregory points out that it is "Garden Goofballs," it goes about as well as you'd expect. But the best is Gregory's comeback when Terrance says that Cece is a girl: "Yes, yes, it is, Terrance. You have seen them before."

This Has Been 'Abbott Elementary's Best Season Yet

Each season of Abbott Elementary seems to outdo the last. This season has been one of the best yet. Like any good mockumentary, it has its staples that people wait for each season. What outrageous Halloween costume is Janine going to wear? (This season, she was an IMAX screen showing Sinners to Gregory's Ryan Coogler.) Each season they're better than the last, and yes, the sneak peek is just a snippet of the episode, but watching Gregory deal with the absurdity of his students is part of why we love Abbott Elementary so much! We can't wait to see how the new "Goofgirl" handles the boy's club.

You can watch Abbott Elementary on Wednesdays on ABC and catch this episode tonight at 8:30 PM ET.
