Bouchier, 26, has played 26 games for the Stars, scoring 401 runs at an average of 18.22.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementKapp will be available until 1 December but will leave for international duty after Stars' game against Hobart Hurricanes.
Bouchier, who has played in all three formats for England, will be available for Stars' final two group games and the knockouts should they progress.
They are third in the table, with the top four reaching the knockouts.
"It's always great to have international talent on your list, and Maia will bring a lot of class to our batting line-up," Melbourne Stars T20 performance manager Clint McKay said.
"She's a familiar face for our group and it'll be great to have her back at the Stars."
