Quarterback Justin Herbert fractured a bone in his left (non-throwing) hand during the Chargers' victory over the Raiders on Sunday. Herbert is scheduled for surgery on Monday, and his status for future games is uncertain, head coach Jim Harbaugh confirmed.
The injury occurred in the first quarter of the game when Herbert's left hand collided with safety Jeremy Chinn's helmet on a scramble. Despite the injury, he threw a touchdown pass on the next play to wide receiver Quentin Johnston.

Herbert completed 15 of 20 passes for 151 yards and two touchdowns, along with an interception.
Harbaugh did not reveal if Herbert would miss any time, stating the team would "see how the week goes" following the procedure.
If Herbert is not ready by next Monday, when the Chargers take on the Eagles, Lance will start at quarterback.
