The Neighborhood isn't airing on CBS tonight (Monday, November 24, 2025), but it will return soon with an all-new episode that fans won't want to miss. The Neighborhood premiered on October 1, 2018, and was renewed for its eighth and final season in March 2025. Season 8 has brought new and exciting changes to the lives of the Butler and Johnson families.

So far, The Neighborhood season 8 has focused on Tina (Tichina Arnold) and Calvin (Cedric the entertainer) adjusting to Malcolm (Sheaun McKinney) living out of the neighborhood in Venice Beach, Malcolm ghostwriting a novel for a Real Housewife-type celebrity named Mercedes (Amber Stevens West), Dave (Max Greenfield) and Gemma (Beth Behrs) dealing with Dave losing his job and Grover (Hank Greenspan) starting high school, and Marty (Marcel Spears) and Courtney (Skye Townsend) living together with their daughter, Daphne.

Why Isn't The Neighborhood On Tonight (November 24)?

On Monday, November 24, The Neighborhood won't be on in its normal 8 p.m. timeslot because CBS is airing a 90-minute special, Everybody Loves Raymond: 30th Anniversary Reunion, in its place. The special will feature a cast reunion, a recreation of the iconic set, tributes to its late stars, behind-the-scenes content, and reflections from the cast about the show.

The Neighborhood returns on December 1, but it will air at a new time: 8:30 p.m. It will switch timeslots with DMV, which will air at 8 p.m. The Neighborhood season 8 episode 7 is titled "Welcome to Babies and Bathwater," and features Dave taking on a home improvement plan that requires Calvin's help, Malcolm asking Gemma for help with writer's block, and Courtney facing a parenting dilemma when Tina makes a suggestion for Daphne.

On December 8, The Neighborhood season 8 will air episode 8, titled "Welcome to Secrets and Santa." It will feature the return of Calvin's ex-girlfriend, played by Holly Robinson Peete. In addition, Malcolm will be part of a meeting that gets hijacked, Marty will take a big step toward making a commitment, and Genna will be caught in a misunderstanding.

The Neighborhood is a beloved show that will be greatly missed. Like Everybody Loves Raymond, it's a family sitcom that's relatable, which is why so many people love it so much. So far, its final season has been its usual mix of hilarious and touching. The show is as fresh and funny as it was when it began, and it's certainly going out on a high note. The Neighborhood always makes everyone feel welcome and at home.
