The streak is dead. The clock that keeps track of the last time Ohio State beat Michigan has been reset to zero, and now all of Buckeye Nation can get respite from Wolverine fans and media beating their chests like they own college football.
It's the first time Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore has tasted the loss as the Wolverines' head coach, and he had to face the music with the local media after the 27-9 beating his team took at the hands of an Ohio State team that was clearly the better team, motivated to take care of business. We always like to follow what the opposing coaches say about the Buckeyes after playing them, and there's nobody else we'd rather hear from than the Michigan head coach after tasting defeat.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementMoore was actually very complimentary of Ohio State and gave the Buckeyes credit for how they played. He lamented his own team's execution and inability to take advantage of possessions deep in Ohio State territory, but all in all, he seemed to know that OSU was the better team.
Here is Moore's complete Ohio State postgame press conference, thanks to the YouTube channel of The Wolverine.
With the win, Ohio State now qualifies for the Big Ten Championship game and will be in action against Indiana next weekend in Indy. We'll have plenty leading up to that game, but also reflections on this one as we head throughout the weekend and into next week.
