The 2-9 New York Jets are preparing for a tilt on Sunday with the 4-7 Atlanta Falcons.

Both teams' seasons are on life support, with neither being officially eliminated from playoff contention but needing a lot of help to get back in the race.

But there's more on the line Sunday than just playoff positioning, and that's pride between running backs Breece Hall and Bijan Robinson.

Breece Hall discusses his relationship with Bijan Robinson

At his Friday press conference, Hall was asked about his relationship with the Falcons' star running back.

"That's my boy. That's been my boy since college. Excited to go against him this week," Hall told reporters.

"Since college, I think I'm 2-1 vs. him so I'm up in our little series right now."

Clearly, the star running backs have a friendly relationship with one another, dating back to their years at Iowa State and Texas.

Robinson got the best of Hall in their lone NFL matchup back in 2023, when the Falcons defeated the Jets 13-8 on a rainy day at MetLife Stadium.

Hall totaled 45 scrimmage yards on 19 touches while Robinson racked up 79 yards on 21 touches. Neither found the endzone.

Both offensive stars will hope to have better outputs than they did back in 2023, but the forecast for Sunday is once again calling for rain.

With two backup quarterbacks under center for the Jets and the Falcons, Tyrod Taylor and Kirk Cousins respectively, expect a heavy workload for their running backs.
