The Gophers were your Thanksgiving nightcap but fell to the Stanford Cardinal 72-68.
THE STAT: Three-point shooting was dramatically in favor of Minnesota. The Cardinal made just 8 of 31 three-point attempts (25.8%) while Minnesota was 9 of 20. How do you lose a game when you shoot 45% from three?

TURNING POINT: Four minutes into the game, Chancey Willis Jr was injured and did not return for the rest of the game. At the time, the score was 6-4, so it is not as if this was when the tide shifted. But Minnesota was already without Robert Vaihola, losing their second starter was going to be too much to overcome for the limited Gophers.
HOT: Jalen Crocker-Johnson had his best game in a Gopher uniform, scoring 23 points to go with four blocks and four rebounds. He led all Minnesota scorers to give another viable option opposite Cade Tyson.
UP NEXT: Tonight the Gophers face the Santa Clara Broncos on TruTV at 8:30 CST.
