Michigan State football, with uncertainty surrounding the program, has suffered their first recruiting causality as a result of the situation unfolding.
Quinn Buckey, a 6-foot-6, 270 pound offensive lineman, has been committed to Michigan State since June 13. He has backed off of that commitment.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementA native of Bakersfield, California, the Spartans beat out Arizona, Oklahoma State, UCLA and Vanderbilt for his commitment. He is a 3-star that is rated as an 87 on 247Sports, as well as the No. 858 overall recruit and the No. 77 offensive tackle in the nation.
Uncertainty surrounding the Michigan State program and coaching situation is certainly going to have an affect on the Spartans 2026 recruiting class.
