According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Tennessee Titans are signing cornerback Kaiir Elam, who was waived by the Dallas Cowboys on November 22.

"The Titans signed CB Kaiir Elam, a former Bills first-round pick most recently with the Cowboys," Rapoport reported on X.

Elam hasn't lived up to his draft status since being the No.23 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft by the Bills. The Florida product has been held back by injuries, but even when on the field, he's been a below-average player whom offenses look to pick on.

After three underwhelming seasons in Buffalo, Elam was traded to Dallas for a pair of Day 3 picks. His stint with the Cowboys didn't last long, though.

In 10 games and seven starts this season with Dallas before being released, Elam tallied 29 tackles and one pass defended. The 24-year-old also allowed three touchdowns and a 112.6 passer rating when targeted.

The Titans are incredibly thin at corner after trading away Jarvis Brownlee Jr. and Roger McCreary, along with the injury to L'Jarius Sneed. Elam could step in as an immediate starter on Dennard Wilson's defense and be an upgrade over Tennessee's current starters on the boundary, Jalyn Armour-Davis and Darrell Baker Jr.

We'll see if Elam can salvage his NFL career with the Titans and try to find a role on Mike McCoy's 1-10 squad. Tennessee's season is already over, so taking a chance on a young former first-round pick in Elam.
