The NFC West is having a nice season. Aside from the Arizona Cardinals, the rest of the division is in the playoff mix. In fact, based on the latest NFL power rankings from USA TODAY's Nate Davis, the NFC West has the NFL's two best teams.

Three of the teams find themselves in the upper half of the league, while the Cardinals languish in the 20s with a 3-8 record.

Week 13 NFL power rankings and the NFC West

LA Rams (No. 1 overall)

Hate to say we told y'all − except we love to tell you we told y'all. (We also anointed QB Matthew Stafford as the league MVP in Week 7, but who's counting … besides us?) This will be the Rams' fourth straight week in this top spot − largely because there are no weaknesses here … unless Stafford's back tightens up. Heck, these guys haven't trailed since Week 6. A stretch run with four of their final six regular-season games on the road could make things more interesting, though.

Stafford, who had a mysterious back injury that kept him from practicing all offseason, is having a career year. He has a running streak of 25 consecutive touchdown passes without an interception. He has only two picks to go with 30 TD passes. He has playmakers in the passing game and run game. The defense is dominant. They continue to be a legitimate title contender.

Seattle Seahawks (No. 2 overall)

WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba is on pace for a record 2,029 receiving yards − which is all the more remarkable given Seattle runs the ball more frequently than all but one NFL team … and passes more infrequently than all but one NFL team.

The final score of their win over the Tennessee Titans (30-24) is misleading. They led 30-10 and the Titans scored twice in garbage time. The Seahawks are playing extremely well. They moved up one spot over last week.

San Francisco 49ers (No. 14 overall)

RB Christian McCaffrey is on track for his third season with 2,000 yards from scrimmage and second with both 1,000 yards rushing and receiving − a feat no player in NFL history has managed on multiple occasions.

They moved up one spot from No. 15. Brock Purdy threw three interceptions against the Panthers, but the Niners won easily 20-9. They are 8-4, have a 4-1 record in the division and 8-2 record in the conference. They will be a tiebreaking problem for other teams.

Arizona Cardinals (No. 21 overall)

In one sense, this offense has been wildly inconsistent in 2025. In another, Arizona has scored between 20 and 27 points in every game but one.

They managed to do something no other team has this century — lose a game with a plus-4 turnover margin. They just find new ways to win.
