By Evan MasseyShareNewsweek is a Trust Project memberThroughout the course of the 2025 NFL season, the future of Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski has been called into question on multiple occasions. Some fans have gotten to the point where they are hoping to see a coaching change.
Despite the frustration mounting within the fan base, it seems much more likely that team owner Jimmy Haslam will give both Stefanski and general manager Andrew Berry another offseason and at least the start of the 2026 season.
While change can happen at any moment, Stefanski doesn't seem to be the most likely change.

Stefanski may not be on his way out with the franchise, but there does seem to be a chance that another coach could be leaving. If that coach were to leave, it would impact Stefanksi's current role with the team.
...Ken Carman of 92.3 The Fan has spoken out about a potential change coming to the Browns' coaching staff. He believes that Cleveland could be without an offensive coordinator by Monday.
Tommy Rees, the team's current offensive coordinator, has started emerging as a potential favorite to take over as the head coach of the UCLA Bruins at the college level.
“I am telling you this, dead serious. Kevin Stefanski could take over play-calling on Monday,” Carman said. “Want to know how? I’m getting that from Vegas. He may have to take over play-calling on Monday because he has no choice. According to three Vegas books out there, take your pick, the leader in the clubhouse, the odds leader for the UCLA job, the head coaching job is Tommy Rees."
He continued forward, talking more about why Rees would make such a quick jump away from the Browns if he gets the UCLA job.
“If you are Tommy Rees, I don’t know what your obligation is. If you are Tommy Rees, you are not staying for another month with the Cleveland Browns. This is a program that needs as much help as it can possibly get. Your first signing day is December, portal opens up in January. You have to go.”

Rees recently took over play-calling from Stefanski. Things have gone decently since the change, although it's clear that Cleveland still has a lot of work to do on the offensive side of the football.
It's not a guarantee that the Browns will have a coaching change coming up soon, but it's something to monitor. Fans should prepare for the possibility that Stefanski will be calling plays once again in the very near future.
