Now that the Los Angeles Lakers are almost at full strength, they have been starting to showcase their immense star power. LeBron James has been back from his bout with sciatica for three games, and in Tuesday's 135-118 win against the Los Angeles Clippers, he started to look just a little bit like his usual self with 25 points on 9-of-15 field-goal shooting, even though he still isn't asserting himself that much.

Meanwhile, Austin Reaves dropped 31 points on 11-of-16 shooting, and overall, he's averaging 27.9 points a game on 49.8% shooting from the field. Luka Doncic is still leading the NBA in scoring, and he went off for an efficient 43 points versus the Clippers.

An argument could be made that, while the Lakers may not be legitimate championship contenders, they have the best star trio in basketball. That's the argument that sports commentator Skip Bayless, a well-known critic of James, made in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

Bayless called the trio of James, Reaves and Doncic "the greatest 3-man backcourt in NBA history."

For the last couple of years, many have felt Reaves has been on his way to becoming an NBA All-Star, and this could be the season it happens. If he does, the Lakers would almost certainly have three men in the All-Star game, and it is possible that no other team will be able to make that same claim.

What the Lakers don't seem to have that teams such as the Oklahoma City Thunder, Denver Nuggets, Houston Rockets and New York Knicks possess is a strong and deep supporting cast. But at the top, they're at least as talented and potent as any other team in the league.
