Summer may have ended, but that doesn’t mean it’s the end of fun-filled days out. There’s still plenty of Legoland fun this season or savings for next year. To help you make the most of your visit for less, The Independent’s deal hunters have tracked down the best Legoland discount codes and rounded up the best money-saving tips to help you save on both tickets and hotel bookings.

How to save at Legoland

Ticket discounts

There are plenty of ways to save on your Legoland tickets, even when no big site-wide promotions are running. Right now, you can get up to 50 per cent off saver tickets when you book in advance online, with prices starting from just £32.

That means you still get to experience the park's newest additions – drench towers and splash safari – plus fan favourites like the minifigure speedway, flight of the sky lion, hydra’s challenge and the dragon at more than half price compared to buying tickets on the day. If you do the latter, tickets can cost around £68, so you’re making a chunky saving by planning ahead.

During term time, parents of pre-school-aged children can take advantage of a joint ticket discount. From just £29, your child essentially gets free entry. Tickets must be booked online at least one day in advance.

Legoland short break deals

If you fancy extending your stay during the school holidays, it can often end up more cost-effective than a day drip. Plus, you’ll get added extras and park tickets thrown in. Case in point, this autumn you can stay from just £55 per person and receive the following benefits:

  • One night’s stay at your chosen Legoland Resort hotel, plus breakfast
  • One day Theme Park entry and early park access
  • Free gift for children 11 years and under
  • Free parking

Legoland also has a newsletter discount for £20 off short breaks. Sign up to receive a Legoland voucher code directly to your inbox that can be applied to your booking and stacked with the above benefits.

Extend your stay for 20 per cent less

Those visiting during term time can save 20 per cent on bookings of two nights or more at the Legoland resort hotel, Legoland castle hotel or Legoland woodland village. Rates start from £103 per person for a two-night stay with breakfast included.

Merlin pass holders can also enjoy 20 per cent off Legoland sleepovers, with discounted rates at the resort hotel, castle hotel or woodland village. It's a brilliant way to get the full Lego experience, with themed rooms, evening entertainment and early park access.

Legoland student discounts

You can take a day off from studying and make use of the Legoland student discount too, with tickets from just £21 when you verify your status through Student Beans. That’s almost 70 per cent cheaper than the £68 on-the-door ticket fee.

Annual pass sale and benefits

If your family just can’t get enough of Legoland, consider purchasing annual passes – currently up to £60 off per pass in the Black Friday sale. This way, you simply pre-book your tickets online each time you want to visit and you'll be covered.

An annual pass also comes with extras that include:

  • 10 per cent off retail shops
  • 20 per cent off food and drinks
  • Free parking
  • Discounted adventure golf
  • Discounted hotel stays

The three-month Legoland play pass is a brilliant option if you're not ready to commit to a full annual membership. For £59, you’ll get unlimited access for three months, which is great value for money - costing just over the price of two adult day tickets, but with unlimited access.
