Paramount+ has officially announced that Tom Cruise's Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning — the explosive eighth film in the $4.74 billion action franchise — will make its post-theatrical streaming debut on December 4 in the U.S. and Canada. And yes, that means for the first time ever, the complete saga will be available to stream in one place on Paramount+.

Set two months after the events of Dead Reckoning, the film follows Ethan Hunt (Cruise) and the IMF as they continue the hunt for the Entity, a rogue AI that has infiltrated global intelligence networks. With governments closing in and shadows from Hunt’s past resurfacing, the team faces its most personal and most dangerous mission yet. The cast also features Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Esai Morales, Pom Klementieff, Henry Czerny, Holt McCallany, Janet McTeer, Nick Offerman, Hannah Waddingham, Tramell Tillman, Angela Bassett, Shea Whigham, Greg Tarzan Davis, Charles Parnell, Mark Gatiss, Rolf Saxon, and Lucy Tulugarjuk, while Christopher McQuarrie directs from a script co-written with Erik Jendresen.

How Good Is 'Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning?'

Collider's Ross Bonaime loved the movie, labelling it as a "fitting conclusion to one of the greatest action franchises ever made," which is a perfect description for what Cruise has given us as audiences over the last thirty years. He wrote in his review:

"We also get yet another brilliant showcase for Cruise’s daring and talents as an action star in the much-publicized plane sequence, which, even after all these years and remarkable action moments, ranks as one of Mission: Impossible’s best. It’s incredible what Cruise is pulling off in these moments, and considering that, once again, this is being called the “final” reckoning, we’re more nervous about whether Hunt will get out of this situation than ever. It’s a phenomenal sequence that is a perfect punctuation for this iconic action series."

With an 80% on Rotten Tomatoes, the film is Certified Fresh among critics. The consensus on the review aggregator reads: "

Gargantuan in action, runtime, and scope, The Final Reckoning is a sentimental sendoff for Ethan Hunt that accomplishes its mission with a characteristic flair for the impossible." Meanwhile, audiences gave it a resounding "Mission: Accomplished," with a Verified Hot score of 88% on the Popcornmeter.
