The Philadelphia Phillies' Spring Training vibes will change a lot in the next couple weeks.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementA ton of Phillies are departing to compete in the World Baseball Classic. Both stars and fringe players alike are suiting up for their respective countries in the WBC.
In fact, the Phillies will have players on 10 different rosters in the tournament, which is remarkable.

Phillies in the WBC
There are 16 Phillies slated to play in the World Baseball Classic, broken down into 10 different countries.
This is how it breaks down:
USA: Kyle Schwarber, Bryce Harper, Brad Keller
Dominican Republic: Johan Rojas, Cristopher Sanchez
Venezuela: Jesus Luzardo
Mexico: Taijuan Walker, Alan Rangel
Italy: Aaron Nola, Dante Nori
Israel: Max Lazar, Garrett Stubbs
Panama: Edmundo Sosa
Brazil: Gabriel Barbosa
Australia: Mitch Neunborn
Netherlands: Jaydenn Estanista
Yep, a few prospects on that list who are relatively unfamiliar.

AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementThe Phillis actually could've had even another player competing. Jose Alvarado was supposed to be on the Venezuela roster.
Due to complications with insurance, though, Alvarado wasn't cleared to play in the WBC. He'll just have to spend his March in camp with the Phillies, unlike so many of these guys who will be playing in highly competitive clashes across the world.
