WARNING! THIS ARTICLE CONTAINS MAJOR SPOILERS ABOUT THE MASKED SINGER SEASON 14!The Masked Singer season 14 contestant Crane’s identity has been a huge mystery to the panelists, but her clue packages have proven that she’s most likely singer Normani. The Masked Singer season 14 welcomed back host Nick Cannon, along with panelists Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg, Ken Jeong, and Rita Ora. Crane was introduced on Clueless Night as a Wild Card contestant, singing a powerful version of “It’s Not Right But It’s Okay” by Whitney Houston, which featured some fierce dance moves.

On The Masked Singer season 14 Spice Girls Night, Crane returned to sing “Say You’ll Be There” by the legendary girl group. After Pugcasso was declared safe, Crane went head-to-head with Snow Cone in the Spice Royale, during which they both sang “Stop” by the Spice Girls back-and-forth in a duet. Crane won the Spice Royale and advanced to the next round.

The Masked Singer panelists have had many guesses for Crane’s identity, including Misty Copeland and Mýa (Robin), Ashanti (Jenny and Robin), Ciara (Ken), and Keke Palmer (guest panelist Taraji P. Henson). However, the clues all point in the direction of another member of an iconic girl group, Fifth Harmony’s Normani, who now has an exrraordinary solo career as well.

The Masked Singer Season 14’s Crane’s Music Career Clues

Normani as an advisor on The Voice Normani as an advisor on The Voice

The Masked Singer season 14’s Crane’s clue packages have been jam-packed with clues that refer to Normani’s music career. On Clueless Night, three origami swans represented her fellow members of Fifth Harmony: Ally Brooke, Dinah Jane, and Lauren Jauregi. Fifth Harmony is a four-woman group since Camila Cabello left in 2016. Fifth Harmony is one of the best-selling gir groups of all time.

Crane stated that she had to work ten times harder just to be seen, and, at times, her confidence had been shattered. This is most likely a reference to how Fifth Harmony was formed on the TV show, The X Factor. The five members had all been rejected as solo artists, and then were put together as a group, which rose to superstardom.

Crane continued that she spent many transformative moments taking control over her destiny. She concluded by saying that she’s proud to say that it’s her own wings that got her to climb this high. This is probably a reference to the fact that Normani is now a successful solo music artist.

A container of sugar represented Normani’s stint as the opening act for Ariana Grande’s Sweetener World Tour in 2019. It also was a reference to Normani's appearance in an episode of the 2018 YouTube Premium reality streaming television series, Sugar. In addition, a giant diamond was a nod to her song “Diamonds” with Megan Thee Stallion. During Spice Girls Night, a construction hat on a pile of blankets referred to Fifth Harmony’s song “Work from Home.”

A nutcracker referred to Normani partnering with Frito-Lay in April 2022 to launch Cracker Jill, which updated the Cracker Jack brand to celebrate women in sports. She reimagined the classic song “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” during the campaign.

Crane also mentioned that it was seamless for her to make her Masked Singer debut on Clueless night because the 90s literally represented everything that she did. Normani is heavily influenced by the culture of the 1990s, and her music video for her song, “Motivation,” was inspired by the decade.

On Spice Girls Night, a football represented Normani starring in the 2025 NFL season kickoff campaign, "You Better Believe It." She performed a custom remix of Quad City DJ's song "Come, Ride the Train," which changed the lyrics to "C'mon ride the float."

The Masked Singer Season 14's Crane's Primetime & Film Clues

During Crane's Masked Singer Clueless Night clue package, she said that she did it all, including primetime and film. Normani has appeared in many primetime TV shows, including The X Factor, Dancing With The Stars, Lip Sync Battle, RuPaul's Drag Race, Celebrity Family Feud, That's My Jam, and The Voice (as the season 17 advisor for Team Kelly Clarkson), among others. As for the big screen, she was in the short film, Book, and appeared as herself in the concert film, Taylor Swift: The 1989 World Tour Live.

Normani's feature film acting debut was as Entice in the indie drama, Freaky Tales. She also contributed music to film soundtracks, including Love, Simon and Birds of Prey.

The Masked Singer Season 14’s Crane’s Career Achievement Clues

Crane's Masked Singer clue packages have had many references to Normani's incredible career achievements. During Clueless Night, she said that she had billions of streams, which is true of Normani. She also said that any chance she gets to go for gold, she takes it. Normani has several gold and platinum certifications. She's also won many awards, both with Fifth Harmony and as a solo artist.

During Spice Girls Night, one of Crane's clues was a train whistle. She explained that not every journey sparkles, but this one was pure gold for her soul. This was a reference to Normani winning Best New Artist in 2018 at the Soul Train Music Awards. She was also nominated in 2019 for Best Dance Performance for “Motivation,” and in 2021 for Best Dance Performance and Video of the Year for “Wild Side.”

During The Masked Singer season 14 Spice Girls Night, Crane's clue package was centered around her beloved grandmother. She reminisced about being five years old and seeing her grandma dressed up as Tina Turner for Halloween. Crane stated that her grandmother was like her second mom, sewing her costumes, making evening gowns for pageants, and sitting in the front row at every performance, screaming the loudest.

In an interview with Allure, Normani recalled her grandmother dressed up as Tina Turner for Halloween. She also called her grandma her best friend and soul mate. Normani's grandmother competed with her and their family in a 2025 episode of Celebrity Family Feud, and showcased her hilarious personality.

Crane's Spice Girls Night football helmet clue not only referred to Normani's participation in the NFL's ad campaign, but also referenced her engagement to Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver DK Metcalf. They've been in a relationship since 2022, and engaged in 2025.

The Masked Singer Season 14’s Crane’s Famous Connections Clues

During The Masked Singer season 14 Clueless Night, Crane said in her clue package that she brushed wings with Janet Jackson, Michelle Obama, and even Angelina Jolie was a fan. Normani performed a Janet Jackson tribute at the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards, and has expressed that she wants to collaborate with her.

Normani met former first lady Michelle Obama and former president Barack Obama when she was a member of Fifth Harmony. They name-dropped Michelle in their song, “Bo$$,” and she once told Fifth Harmony that she regularly listened to the song while exercising and sang the lyrics for them. Fifth Harmony also sang on the Truman Balcony of the White House during the 2015 Easter Egg Roll, singing a birthday serenade for the fifth anniversary of Michelle’s fitness campaign, “Let’s Move.” They then performed a concert in the White House garden.

Normani met Angelina in March 2015 at Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards, when she was a member of Fifth Harmony. The group posed for a picture with Angelina and her children.

During The Masked Singer season 14 Spice Girls Night, Crane revealed that Mel B had taken her under her wing. The same is true for Normani, as Mel B acted as a mentor to her during her career.

The Masked Singer Season 14’s Crane’s Dance Clues

Normani and Val Chmerkovskiy performing on Dancing with the Stars

During The Masked Singer season 14 Clueless Night, Crane’s clue package was filled with dance clues. One of her clues was a pair of ballet slippers, which Crane explained by saying that she wasn't the one to shy away from center stage. Normani has said that dancing was her first passion. She competed on Dancing With The Stars season 24, placing third with her professional dance partner, Val Chmerkovskiy. In addition, Normani has a song with Sam Smith called “Dancing with a Stranger.”

Crane ended her Clueless Night performance with a split, which floored everyone. Normani famously did a split at the end of a performance of a medley of “Angel” and “Down” with Fifth Harmony at the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards.

Although the Masked Singer panelists have guessed many fantastic singers for Crane, the clues seem to point in a direction they haven't taken yet: Normani. While it's just speculation at this point, it seems more and more likely that Normani is behind the Crane mask. Whoever Crane turns out to be, she's so extraordinary, that she's certain to soar into the finals, and maybe even take home the Golden Mask Trophy.

The Masked Singer airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on FOX.
