Alex Bregman's arrival with the Boston Red Sox last season was the beginning of the end to Rafael Devers' time there.

Devers got pushed to DH, which he didn't like, and he was soon traded to the San Francisco Giants. And then this offseason, Bregman opted out of his contract and signed with the Chicago Cubs.

In the end, Boston didn't keep either guy around for long.

That's what made Red Sox fans particularly sick when they saw Bregman's latest post on Instagram.

It was a bunch of photos, but in the middle was one of Bregman and Devers.

It was a fresh picture, with Bregman in his Cubs uniform embracing Devers in his Giants uniform before a Spring Training game.

Obviously, Bregman knows what he's doing by posting this.

It certainly will get Boston fans riled up, and it's an amusing way for himself to say good riddance to the Red Sox.

It's not clear why Bregman might have hard feelings for Boston, but with the option to stay there, he didn't.

And now all Red Sox fans can do is scroll through Bregman's Instagram to think about what could've been.
