Steam is doing a pretty good job of delivering on the free-game front this year. There's a ton of variety on offer when it comes to genres, as well as solo and multiplayer experiences.

For instance, on Steam, you can now pick up a game that some users are calling a "10/10" for free. As the listing even denotes, there are no strings attached to this one.

Monday Meltdown Is Steam's Latest Free Hit

It's "8-Player Mayhem"

If you're a fan of Hotline Miami, you may want to take note of Monday Meltdown. It's an eight-player top-down shooter, complete with killing sprees and multiple maps. Unlockables include character and weapon skins, as well as taunts and custom "killphrases." "In-game secrets" that unlock skins are also teased. All of this is free, and that free version isn't a demo or a trial.
