The Section 9 girls wrestling tournament will be held Monday, February 16, at Mount Saint Mary College in Town of Newburgh. Competition will begin at 9:30 a.m., with semifinals expected at 11:30 a.m. and finals at 4:45 p.m.

Returning champions include: Middletown's Shane Dharlaeen (94 pounds); F.D. Roosevelt's Natalia Quinteros Tejada (100); Port Jervis' Charlie Wylie (107); Minisink Valley's Keira Filip (114), Sara Pauls (126), Caitlin McIlroy (165) and Jaida Macaluso (champ at 145, now at 185); Monroe-Woodbury's Jada Lee (145); and, Valley Central's Arica Pearson-Leary (152).
Minisink Valley beat Middletown and Port Jervis for the 2025 team title.
The state tournament will be held at Albany's MVP Arena on Thursday, February 26.
