If I was to make a highlight film for tonight’s game against Wake Forest it would be set to the song Takin’ Care of Business by Bachman-Turner Overdrive. It wasn’t a perfect game but the Cards came out and did what they had to do to ensure a victory by a comfortable margin.
Every player who got in the game scored and they were led by Laura Ziegler’s 13 points. Tajianna Roberts got back in shooting form with 12 points. She said, “It was definitely great to see the ball go through. Just for me shooting the ball hasn’t been the best right now, but I think I’ve been trying to get in other ways such as rebounding and passing the ball to my teammates. But it was a great thing seeing the ball go through today.”

The few breakdowns we had they scored on us but we didn’t have a bunch of them.” Offensively he said, “I thought we did a really nice job, especially in the first half, of sharing the basketball and finding the open player…. 25 assists I’m really excited to see that and we only had 11 turnovers.”
Coach Walz said, “As long as we’re continuing to have team success then the individual success will come.” This team first attitude was echoed by his players. Reyna Scott said, “I don’t think anybody worries about minutes. If it’s a good five that’s in there then that five is going to stay in. I think we’re all bought in to that.” Tajianna Roberts said, “For us I think we find happiness in it [everybody scoring]. We love when we pass the ball and somebody knocks it down. We compete for who can get the most assists. I think it’s a beautiful thing about this team.”
Next up the Cards take on Florida State at home. The game is Sunday at 6PM and can be seen on the ACC Network.
