February 12 is going to be a great day for Xbox Game Pass members, as a new title is being made available in the catalog, and it may be perfect for you. This year has been amazing for Microsoft’s subscription service so far. January was filled with remarkable games, like Space Marine 2 and Death Stranding. Now, Xbox Game Pass kicked off February with Final Fantasy 2, following the first game’s release in January.
Now, Microsoft has announced the first wave of games joining the service’s catalog in February, and there’s one that stands out. BlazBlue Entropy Effect X joins Xbox Game Pass on February 12, as part of the Ultimate and PC Game Pass tiers. As is seen in a comment left by user ComputerMysterious48 in a Reddit post sharing the announcements, players are happy with the game’s release on the service.

The Game Is Being Released Globally On February 12

The game’s availability on Ultimate and PC Game Pass is due to the fact that it is, technically speaking, a day-one release on Xbox Game Pass, even if it isn’t announced as such in the official post on Xbox Wire. In addition to Xbox Series X/S, BlazBlue Entropy Effect X is also being released globally for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch on February 12.
The game’s addition to Xbox Game Pass in February 2026 likely means players will be able to enjoy it throughout the upcoming months. Usually, games stay available in the catalog for around a year, so it’s probable that you’ll have until February 2027 to play BlazBlue Entropy Effect X for free via the subscription service. Even so, with the constant influx of games, I recommend checking it out sooner rather than later.

BlazBlue Entropy Effect X is a new roguelite game in the BlazBlue series, set in a cyberpunk-like world. In the game, you’ll control the protagonist Ace, who will venture through an area called the Sea of Possibility. Within it, you can expect fast-paced combat and stylish abilities to face enemies. Fans seem pretty optimistic about this new Xbox Game Pass release.
In response to the comment left on the Reddit post, other users echo the satisfaction. User FutureBoy6969 highlights that they were also surprised, saying that they tested the game via the BlazBlue Entropy Effect X demo available on PlayStation 5, and that it “feels good.”
