The North Carolina Tar Heels are in Florida for the week, as they are set to participate in the Fort Myers Tip-Off. The Tar Heels will open up the event on Tuesday night, facing off against the St. Bonaventure Bonnies who are 5-0 entering this game.

UNC is also 5-0, getting a win in their lone game last week, beating Navy at home. Now, the competition gets a little tougher for UNC. Not only do they square off agaisnt the Bonnies but they will also faced a good Michigan State team that is ranked in the top 15.

The Tar Heels will be tested in this event with two games and it should be good for them as they continue non-conference play in December.

The Bonnies are coming off a win over Robert Morris, but this will by far be their toughest test of the season against a ranked UNC team.

Get out to an early lead and control the game. When you're playing teams you should beat, letting them hang around gives them confidence they can beat you. The longer you let them hang around, the more confidence they get. On a neutral court, UNC needs to come out and play aggressively and get up on the Bonnies early.

That will also allow them to control how the game is played, which UNC wants to get out and run in transition. Let's see if UNC can control the pace.

Something to Watch

How will the guards play? Seth Trimble remains out but North Carolina still has a lot of talent on the wing. With it being this early in the season, it's another chance for the guards to show how well they can play.

Kyan Evans remains the starting point guard while Derek Dixon is the backup. At the two spot has been Luka Bogavac. He's a player UNC really needs to get going from the perimeter this season. Having that backcourt play step up will help take the pressure off of Caleb Wilson and Henri Veesaar.
