Nov. 24—MITCHELL — For their outstanding seasons during the fall, area high school football players were recognized by their local conferences.

A summary of all the area players selected is listed below, sorted by conference.

Class 9A state runner-up Howard placed five players, plus one honorable mention, on the all-Cornbelt Conference football team.

Headlining the Tigers' all-conference picks was junior fullback/defensive back Kolt Becker, who was named Cornbelt co-MVP with Viborg-Hurley senior quarterback/linebacker Brady Schroedermeier. Becker racked up 1,712 rushing yards and 25 touchdowns on offense with 50 tackles and four interceptions on defense this season.

Also honored for Howard were seniors Nolan Mentele, Garrett Feldhaus and Gabriel Martian, as well as sophomore Thomas Halverson. Junior Drew Maier was an honorable mention pick.

For Hanson, seniors Stetson Riggs and Carter Endorf were selected to the all-Cornbelt team, along with juniors Jason Porth and Radek Jarding. Senior Conner Endorf was an honorable mention pick.

Canistota seniors Adam Kleinsasser and Prayden Acheson rounded out the area contingent on the all-Cornbelt squad. Fellow senior Easton Miller was an honorable mention pick.

Class 9AA state champion Freeman/Marion/Freeman Academy garnered four all-Great Plains Conference selections in addition to three honorable mentions.

Seniors Luke Peters, Tate Sorensen and Riley Tschetter and junior Hunter Nankivel represented the Phoenix on the all-conference squad, while senior Karter Weber, junior Alaric Knittel and sophomore Easton Tschetter were honorable mention picks.

Class 9B state runner-up Avon also put four players on the all-GPC team in seniors Al'Shamon Gunter, Randall Powers and Trenton Soukup and junior Cale Cooper. Junior Braylon Fathke was an honorable mention pick.

Scotland/Menno landed seniors Izayah Ulmer and Carter Fischer and junior Hunter Clark on the all-GPC team. Junior Jarret Andretta was an honorable mention pick.

Corsica-Stickney senior Waylon Bolle and sophomore Max Vanden Hoek collected all-GPC recognition. Junior Quentin De Vries was an honorable mention pick.

Burke senior John DeLong and junior Eli Bartling nabbed all-conference status. Senior Jayder Schonebaum was an honorable mention pick.

Tripp-Delmont/Armour/Andes Central/Dakota Christian junior Jamian Medicine Horn was named an all-conference player, and fellow junior DaMarshay Webbs was an honorable mention pick. Colome senior Tyson Wetzel was tabbed as an all-GPC performer, and junior Hunter Kahler was an honorable mention pick.

Winners of the Missouri Valley Conference in 2025 with a 5-0 mark, Parkston stacked up seven all-conference performers with two honorable mentions.

For the Trojans, who played in a fifth consecutive state semifinal this fall, seniors Gage Reichert, Wyatt Anderson and Traeson Weatherford were named to the all-MVC squad along with juniors Gage Jodozi, Mason Jervik, Brycen Bruening and Quayden Culbert. Juniors Johnny Weber and Gavin Weber were honorable mention picks.

Bon Homme seniors Luke Guthmiller, Peyton Nielsen and Caden Zomer, as well as juniors Major Aarstad, Isaiah Crownover and Logan Stark were tabbed as all-conference players. Junior Caleb Cuka was an honorable mention pick.

Platte-Geddes was represented on the all-MVC squad by seniors Dane Jenson, Jye Bailey and Kenyon Kuiper in addition to junior Ty Rolland and sophomore Chris Baas. Juniors Ryker Nachtigal and Asher Kott and sophomore Owen Feiok were honorable mention picks.

Kimball/White Lake seniors Dalton Deffenbaugh, Dayn Goodman and Johnny Lenz, junior Kiner Kirsch and sophomore Chevy Fees were all tabbed to the all-conference team. Junior Keaton Christensen and sophomore Carter Konechne were honorable mention picks.

Rounding out the all-MVC area contingent were Gregory seniors Colt Keiser and Lincoln Juracek with juniors Landon Keiser and Taos Weborg. Senior Jabin Talsma was an honorable mention pick.

McCook Central/Montrose placed three players on the Big East Conference honor team, with three more honorable mention players. Senior Owen Schmidt alongside juniors Will Oyen and Parker Randall were recognized as all-Big East performers. Junior Tucker Peterson, sophomore Connor Heiberger and freshman Easton Meyer were honorable mention picks.

Bridgewater-Emery/Ethan senior Holden Wollmann and junior Creighton Klumb were named to the all-conference team. Juniors Ethan Longe and Coltyn Raymond and sophomore Jaxx Kurtenbach were honorable mention picks.
