One of our most anticipated Marvel series releasing next year is set to reunite two of the X-Men's greatest heroes (and siblings). Connected to the upcoming Shadows of Tomorrow event, various X-Men will be getting their brand-new solo series, though one duo will finally reunite in their very own story from Marvel Comics.

Following the conclusion of Marvel's current Age of Revelation event set in a dark distant future of the Marvel Universe, Shadows of Tomorrow will be set in the present with major connections as the X-Men try to prevent said future from happening. As a result, one of these brand-new series is set to reunite Marvel's Rasputin siblings: Magik & Colossus.

Marvel To Release "Magik & Colossus" In February 2026

With its first issue set to release on February 4th next year, Magik & Colossus is set to reunite Illyana Rasputin's Magik with her older brother, Piotr aka Colossus. Coming from writer Ashley Allen and drawn by Germán Peralta, Magik & Colossus is just one of many new X-Men series launching next year under the Shadows of Tomorrow banner.

Other brand-new series include Inglorious X-Force, X-Men United, Rogue, Cyclops, Storm: Earth's Mightiest Mutant, Generation X-23, Wade Wilson: Deadpool, and Moonstar. That said, it's going to be very exciting to see Magik and her older brother fighting side by side once more in the pages of Marvel Comics, with their new series easily ranking high on our most anticipated list of upcoming X-comics.

What Will Marvel's New Magik & Colossus Series Be About?

According to the official synopsis for Marvel's new Magik and Colossus series, Illyana and Piotr will be returning home to Russia in their all-new story:

"Illyana Rasputin is a cynical sorceress with power harnessed from the dark realm of Limbo. Piotr Rasputin is made of metal, but with a heart much softer than his exterior. But despite being family, blood does not run thicker than water!"

"When they return to their mother country, they discover ancient monsters from Russian folklore preying on the innocent! Can these two mutant siblings set aside their differences to save their country? The talented creative team of MAGIK, Ashley Allen and Germán Peralta, reunite for an X-Men story full of epic fights, mysticism and family drama!"

Not only does the synopsis tease Russian folklore monsters as a key threat (which does sound fascinating), but there's also some teases for some strong sibling rivalry. Considering their very different powersets, it seems quite likely that Magik & Colossus will be one of Marvel Comics' most exciting X-reads when it releases early next year.
