New England Patriots coach Mike Vrabel added more context to offensive tackle Will Campbell’s injury when meeting with media members on Monday.

Campbell is believed to have suffered an MCL sprain, according to a report from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. He would be eligible for injured reserve, which would keep him out for at least the next four games of the season. That would give him a chance to return for the playoffs.

“He won’t be out there this week, and it’s gonna be a couple weeks," Vrabel told reporters. "We’ll have to make a decision here on our roster and see how long that’ll be and go from there. But, it’s nothing that’s gonna hopefully put him out for the entire season.”

The timing on the injury is rough with the Patriots looking to finish out the season strong and potentially secure the No. 1 seed in the playoffs.

With that said, they do get a bye week in Week 14, and there's hope they can buy enough time between now and the postseason for Campbell's eventual return.
