The Georgia Bulldogs could be in trouble during the early signing period, which starts on Wednesday, Dec. 3 and runs through Friday, Dec. 5. Yes, Georgia has the nation's No. 2 recruiting class and 31 total commitments, but Georgia and coach Kirby Smart could lose their top commitment in the 2026 recruiting cycle.

Georgia can't replace Curtis if he decommits from the Bulldogs. The 6-foot-4, 225-pound quarterback has been projected to commit to Vanderbilt, per multiple sources in the recruiting industry.
247Sports' Tom Loy thinks Curtis will commit to the Commodores and break Georgia's heart. Now, Rivals' Steve Wiltfong joins Loy in predicting that Curtis will flip from Georgia to Vanderbilt.
At this point in the class of 2026 recruiting cycle, Georgia will be sticking to their guns. The Bulldogs are going to double down and try to sign Curtis. However, if Curtis commits elsewhere, then Georgia has several options for quarterback recruits. The Dawgs could look to add a quarterback via the transfer portal or a recruit before national signing day in February. Georgia has several potential answers on the roster (four scholarship quarterbacks with eligibility left) and we expect Gunner Stockton to return for 2026.
