Batman's new appearance is one of the most eventful as far as Dark Knight villains go, with quite a few obscure players from DC Comics showing up on screen, and I was excited to see Killer Moth's role in it. At the moment, I doubt we will be seeing Killer Moth in The Batman 2, given that the character is not really grounded.

Having wings and a suit with normally vibrant colors, Killer Moth feels more likely as a villain for James Gunn's DC Universe than Matt Reeves' The Batman franchise. Given the long wait for Batman's The Brave and the Bold movie, which is undated as of now, I'm glad that Batman's new TV show uses the underrated villain, doing so in a surprising role.

DC Has Revealed What Bat-Fam’s Killer Moth Looks Like

At first, I was unsure about watching Bat-Fam due to its cartoonish animated style and lighter tone. That said, while the show is indeed aimed at younger audiences, there is a lot of fun to be had for DC fans of all ages in season 1's 10 episodes on Prime Video. The core Bat-Family works, and the villains are all quite unique.

Bat-Fam's Batman managed to rid Gotham City of all crime, with several DC villains turning away from a life of crime in the series. While a few return to terrorize Gotham, Killer Moth is one of those who has been reformed. He is a member of E*Vil, the organization created by Alicia Pennyworth to rehabilitate former villains.

Given Bat-Fam's colorful tone and the fact that Killer Moth is no longer a villain when we meet him in DC's new Batman TV show, his design is pitch-perfect. Bat-Fam's Killer Moth dons a purple suit with long sleeves, yellow gloves, yellow wings, and a green, moth-like face with red eyes.

How Bat-Fam’s Killer Moth Compares To Other Versions Of The DC Villain?

While Killer Moth is not a major Batman villain, he has appeared in a few adaptations. In 2003's Teen Titans, Killer Moth had a darker color scheme and looked way scarier. The villain was bulkier and had black and white fur-like hair. In 2004's The Batman animated series, Killer Moth started out as an ordinary guy with a makeshift costume.

After being exposed to chemicals, he turned into a giant monster, both of which differ greatly from Killer Moth's professional suit and humanoid appearance in Bat-Fam. The show's Batman villain design ends up being closer to Killer Moth's look from DC Comics, complete with the predominant purple, the antennas, and the moth symbol on his chest.
