With his role as a substitute limited to just two minutes in Borussia Dortmund's 3-3 draw with VfB Stuttgart, Fábio Silva is growing frustrated.

According to Sky Germany, things have gone so far that Silva is now considering a swift departure in the winter transfer window.

The Portuguese striker, whose debut for the senior national team was last week, sees his involvement at the upcoming World Cup in serious jeopardy.

At a press conference today, Monday, BVB coach Niko Kovač did his best to quell any rumours of an exit and stated Silva hasn't featured enough recently.

“Overall, I'm very satisfied with Fábio. However, we have many quality players up front. It's true that Fabio isn't getting enough playing time, but I hope we'll see more of him in the near future.”

Silva joined Dortmund from Wolverhampton Wanderers this summer for €22.5million, reportedly even taking a pay cut.

So far, however, the move hasn't paid off for the 23-year-old at all, with just one goal as a substitute in BVB's 4-2 win over Copenhagen.
