2026 LSU commit Lamar Brown was among those to welcome Kiffin to his new home, per a post shared to his social media account. A local football star, Brown stopped by his future school to met his new head coach.

Brown hails from Erwinville, LA and attends University Lab High School. The 2026 cycle's No. 1 overall player, per Rivals Industry Rankings, headlines LSU's incoming signing class as one of 10 Louisiana natives among the group. While he can play both offensive and defensive line, he'll likely focus on defense in college.

During the 2025 college football season, Brown attended every game in Death Valley. He remained committed to his home state school through turmoil with the firing of Brian Kelly and a disappointing season that started with national championship hopes for the Tigers.
