Ryan Silverfield isn't diminishing expectations in his first full day as the Arkansas football head coach.
Silverfield made the rounds among Arkansas radio shows on Monday, Dec. 1. On 103.7 The Buzz with David Bazzel, Silverfield promised a quick turnaround for a Razorbacks program coming off a 2-10 season.

Prior to joining the Buzz, Silverfield went on The Chuck and Bo Show on ESPN Arkansas. In both interviews, he was directly asked if he felt Arkansas had the right financial resources to compete in the SEC.
Money available for recruiting was a constant predicament for Sam Pittman. In the press release announcing Silverfield's hire, athletic director Hunter Yurachek said Arkansas will have "new and significant financial investment in the football program".
Silverfield echoed that sentiment in his radio interviews.

"The backing of the Board of Trustees, this athletic department, the tremendous donors. Some that I've already had the opportunity to talk with and others that I will hope to meet in the coming days that are going to be so supportive and they're so excited about this opportunity for me and what we're going to be able to build here and do at Arkansas. I have no doubt in my mind that we will be able to compete at the highest level in absolutely everything."
Silverfield expanded that he is willing to play a part, joking that he will start knocking on doors in Little Rock if that's what is required to bring the right fundraising to the program.
It will be a chaotic first week for the new Arkansas coach. Silverfield has 48 hours to build his roster through high school recruiting, with Early Signing Day scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 3. The Razorbacks currently have 13 commits.
