Former NFL head coach Rex Ryan blames the roster for the issues and not Mike Tomlin and says firing him would be doing him a favor.

In the midst of the Pittsburgh Steelers blowout loss to the Buffalo Bills, chants of "Fire Tomlin!" rang out through Acrisure Stadium. This carried over to social media as the hashtag #FireTomlin was trending after the 26-7 loss. Tomlin acknowledged the crowd's reaction in his post-game press conference and said that he shared their frustrations.

But one person who doesn't put the blame at Tomlin's feet is former NFL head coach Rex Ryan. Ryan was on ESPN's Get Up and said that the Steelers should "do Mike Tomlin a favor and fire him. He would get a job anywhere in the league in about two seconds."

The argument that Tomlin is still employable is valid but we disagree with Ryan's assertion that Tomlin's message is still getting through to this team. If we are being honest, the NFL simply swaps coaches around every offseason, so there's no doubt Tomlin would get another job, and he could have success with a new team where his message is fresh. This doesn't diminish the fact that he's no longer getting the most out of his team.
