The Pittsburgh Steelers got off to a strong start on Sunday against the Buffalo Bills, forcing two first-half turnovers and taking a 7–3 lead into halftime on their home field with a prime opportunity to move a game up in the AFC North race.

However, the second half told a completely different story. Pittsburgh was outscored 23–0 and surrendered a historic amount of rushing yards at Acrisure Stadium in a 26–7 loss that dropped them to 6–6 on the season.

Bills running back James Cook carried the ball 32 times for 144 yards, and as a team Buffalo racked up 249 rushing yards compared to Pittsburgh’s 58 — a recipe for disaster.

In the final moments of the game, frustrated Steelers fans didn’t hold back, breaking into a “Fire Tomlin” chant aimed at head coach Mike Tomlin, who has led the organization since 2007, has never had a losing season, but owns just one Super Bowl title from 2009.

Tomlin addressed the chants after the game with a clear message for fans, echoing their frustration with how the team performed.

“Man, I share their frustrations tonight,” Tomlin said postgame. “We didn’t do enough. That’s just the reality of it.”

Pittsburgh has now put itself into a dogfight down the stretch in an AFC North that’s having a down year, to say the least.

Ahead of their Week 14 showdown with the Baltimore Ravens — a team they still face twice this season — the Steelers are tied with Baltimore for first place at 6-6. Meanwhile, the Cincinnati Bengals sit just two games back at 4-8, with a healthy Joe Burrow back under center.
