Thanksgiving week has concluded, and the stage is set for the 2025-26 Big Ten basketball conference season to begin.

Purdue enters the conference slate as both the conference and the nation's No. 1 overall team. Behind the current national title favorite, Michigan, Michigan State, Illinois and Wisconsin are all jockeying for position.

The opening week of conference play includes matchups between Iowa and the No. 11-ranked Spartans, No. 1 Purdue and Rutgers, USC and Oregon, Wisconsin and Northwestern, No. 25 Indiana and Minnesota, No. 18 UCLA and Washington. While several weeks of nonconference action still remains until the full conference schedule tips off in January, the week should give a further look at how the conference stacks up.
