BROOKINGS, S.D. (KELO) — SDSU faced the storm in a dominant 41-3 win over the University of New Hampshire. Quarterback Chase Mason returned to the field for the first time since he sustained a lower leg injury on Oct. 18. Mason threw the ball 230 yards for three touchdowns in the win while senior running back Julius Loughridge ran for 102 yards and a score. This is the 10th season in a row that SDSU has hosted a playoff game.

“Whatever the extracurriculars are, like I said before, it’s win or go home,” junior offensive lineman Quinten Christensen said. “So no matter the weather, no matter where you play at, your mentality and your goal doesn’t change.”

The Jackrabbits will head on the road for the FCS second round against the number three seed Montana. The Grizzlies finished the regular season with an 11-1 record behind 14-year veteran head coach Bobby Hauck. This will be the third consecutive season that SDSU and Montana have met in the playoffs. The Jacks handed the Grizzlies a 35-18 loss in Brookings in 2024.

The two will meet on Saturday, December 6th at 1pm.
