It's an exercise in the law of averages, where things eventually even out. Justin Jefferson is far from average, however. The Minnesota Vikings star receiver is used to lighting up the box score on Sundays, Mondays, Thursdays or just about any other day of the week where there's an NFL game.

The Vikings have gone from a potential Super Bowl contender to a group stuck in purgatory – not good enough to contend, but too talented to bottom out.
Minnesota's quarterback carousel continued to spin in Week 13, resulting in the first career start for undrafted rookie Max Brosmer. The former Golden Gopher got the nod with J.J. McCarthy stuck in concussion protocol.
Different quarterback, same story for Jefferson – who set a new career-low in Seattle.
Here's a look at Jefferson's stats in Week 13.
Week 1: Detroit Lions wide receiver Isaac TeSlaa (18) makes a catch for a touchdown against the Green Bay Packers during the fourth quarter at Lambeau Field. The play was originally ruled an incomplete pass, but the call was overturned. Despite TeSlaa's effort, the Packers won the game 27-13.

Receptions (targets): 2 (6)
Receiving yards: 4 (Career-low)
Touchdowns: 0
It was a career-low four receiving yards for Jefferson in Week 13, beating a previous low of 14 yards on Sept. 25, 2022 against the Detroit Lions.
The star has managed to record at least one catch in all 89 career games, meaning that streak will continue for at least another week.
Jefferson came into the week with 60 catches, 795 yards and just two touchdowns in 11 games. Week 13's results certainly didn't help those numbers either.
The All-Pro is averaging just 66.6 yards per game in 2025, which is a steep drop from his previous career-low of 87.5 during his rookie year.
There is still time to salvage the season for Jefferson personally, but time has almost certainly run out for the 2025 Vikings, who will have plenty of work to do in the offseason.
