Panthers players react to their stunning upset win over the Rams in Week 13

For the second time this season, the Carolina Panthers have bested the best of the NFC.

Their latest triumph came on Sunday, when they defeated the Los Angeles Rams in a stunning performance at Bank of America Stadium. Despite coming into the weekend as double-digit underdogs, the Panthers powered up against their 9-win visitors to capture a 31-28 victory.

The upset was fueled by some explosives on offense—thanks to touchdown passes of 33, 35 and 43 yards from quarterback Bryce Young. Carolina's defense also came up clutch, forcing three takeaways (two interceptions and one fumble) of Most Valuable Player frontrunner Matthew Stafford.

Now, the Panthers enter their bye week at 7-6—which marks their highest win total since the 2022 campaign. They also head into the long-awaited break with very real playoff hopes, as they sit just half a game behind the NFC South-leading Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
