The OKC Thunder is the reigning NBA champion, and it's the overwhelming betting favorite to win it all again this season.

But even though OKC is poised to compete for a second straight title, it's also in position to land up to four first-round picks in the 2026 NBA Draft. The class is loaded with coveted prospects such as Kansas' Darryn Peterson, BYU's AJ Dybantsa and Duke's Cameron Boozer.

How many 2026 NBA Draft picks will OKC Thunder have?

First-round: Philadelphia 76ers (Top-four protected)

OKC acquired Philadelphia's 2025 first-round pick when it traded Terrance Ferguson, Danny Green and Vincent Poirier in November 2020. It received that pick along with Al Horford, the No. 34 overall pick in the 2020 draft (Theo Maledon) and the draft rights to Vasilije Micic.

The pick was top-six protected and did not convey last year, so it turned into a top-four protected pick for 2026 and 2027. If it doesn't convey during that time, Philadelphia will owe OKC its 2027 second-round pick.

Philadelphia is 9-7 so far this season. That’s tied for the 14th-best record in the NBA, meaning the pick is likely to convey.

First round: Utah Jazz (Top-eight protected)

OKC acquired Utah's 2024 first-round pick and Derrick Favors in July 2021. It sent out a 2027 second-round pick and cash considerations.

The pick was top-10 protected in both 2024 and 2025 but did not convey, making it top-eight protected in 2026. If it doesn't convey this season, the obligation extinguishes.

Utah is 5-11 this season, which is the ninth-worst record in the NBA. The pick could convey, although the Jazz is more likely to prioritize retaining it rather than making a postseason push.

First round: The two most favorable picks between Houston Rockets (top-four protected), Los Angeles Clippers (unprotected) and OKC Thunder

OKC is still owed the Los Angeles Clippers' unprotected 2026 first-round pick from its historically-lopsided trade in July 2019.

OKC ultimately received Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Danilo Gallinari, Miami's 2021 first-round pick (Tre Mann), Los Angeles' 2022 first-round pick (Jalen Williams), Los Angeles' 2024 first-round pick (Dillon Jones), Miami's 2025 first-round pick (Thomas Sorber), Los Angeles' 2026 first-round pick and the right to swap first-round picks with Los Angeles in 2023 (didn't convey) and 2025 (traded Nique Clifford to Sacramento). It sent out Paul George.

Los Angeles is 5-12 this season, which is tied for the eighth-worst record in the NBA. Its unprotected pick is easily OKC's best asset for the 2026 draft.

OKC will receive the two most favorable picks between Houston (top-four protected), Los Angeles and its own pick. The least-favorable pick of that trio will then go to Washington.

Second round: The most favorable pick between Dallas Mavericks, Philadelphia 76ers and OKC Thunder

In addition to having up to four first-round picks in 2026, OKC will also have one second-round pick.

It'll receive the most favorable pick between Dallas, Philadelphia and its own pick. And while a second-rounder might not seem exciting, OKC is known for finding hidden gems.

The Thunder selected Aaron Wiggins (No. 55 overall) in 2021, Jaylin Williams (No. 34) in 2022 and Ajay Mitchell (No. 38) in 2024.
