They’re heading into the locker rooms at halftime at Lumen Field, and your Minnesota Vikings trail the Seattle Seahawks by a score of 13-0.

The Seahawks were right around midfield to start the quarter, and Dallas Turner collected another sack of Sam Darnold, the defense’s second of the day. Then, the Seahawks picked up 21 yards on third down and kept their drive alive thanks to more poor tackling from the Minnesota defense. The defense stiffened in the red zone, as Andrew Van Ginkel sacked Darnold to force the field goal attempt, and Jason Myers connected from 33 yards out to give the Seahawks a 3-0 lead.

Then, after the Vikings punted it away, the defense did something that they haven’t done since Week 9. . .they forced a turnover. Turner came screaming in again and sacked Darnold, forcing a fumble that was recovered by Jalen Redmond at the Seattle 13-yard line!

And then. . .well, I don’t even have the words to describe it, really. The Vikings had a 4th-and-1 at the Seattle 4-yard line and elected to go for it. I’ll just give you the video of what happened next because actually attempting to type out what happened is just going to make me angry.

So, rather than being 7-3, Vikings, or even a 3-3 tie, it was 10-0 in favor of the Seahawks. Swell.

Minnesota’s offense went three-and-out on the next drive, and Seattle got the ball back with all three of their timeouts remaining. Thanks to some really terrible clock management, the Seahawks had to settle for a 56-yard field goal attempt from Myers, which he connected on to make it 13-0 just before halftime.

The Seahawks also get the ball to start the second half, as they won the coin toss and deferred.

We’re getting ready for the third quarter in Seattle, and the Vikings trail the Seahawks by a score of 13-0. Can the Vikings finally put something. . .anything. . .together? Come on in and join us to find out!
