Brooklyn Nets rookie Danny Wolf recorded his best outing as a professional on Saturday, and the 27th pick in the 2025 NBA draft earned praise from coach Jordi Fernández afterward.
Wolf produced a team-high 22 points, four rebounds, four assists and one blocked shot in a 116-99 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks at Fiserv Forum. He finished by shooting 8-of-16 from the field, including 5-of-9 from 3-point range, in 30 minutes off the bench.

"It comes down to the motto of just being ready for when your name is called and taking advantage of that opportunity," Wolf said. "Coach Jordi and the staff have just been preaching to shoot it when you're open and letting it fly, and that was my mindset coming into today. I saw a few go in early and kind of kept that."
Wolf played just his fifth game after dealing with an ankle injury to begin the season. It was only the second time he had seen more than 10 minutes in a game with Brooklyn down some starters, including Egor Dëmin, Cam Thomas and Michael Porter Jr.

He is one of 10 first-round picks this year to play at least one game in the G League.
Wolf was highly touted out of Michigan for his unique blend of rebounding, playmaking and scoring ability at his size. The team has been encouraged by his early growth and the way he has prepared himself to contribute at a high level.
"He looked comfortable," Fernández said of Wolf. "His shot looked really good. I'm really proud of him being ready and performing at this level. He was one of the reasons why that group came into the first quarter and punched back. That is good to see because it can never be given to you. He has been working. He has been ready."
