The Bills are 7-4 and sitting just inside the postseason bubble as the No. 7 seed, but if they were to lose and the Houston Texans were to defeat the Indianapolis Colts Sunday, Buffalo and Houston would switch places and the Bills would be on the outside looking in.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementThis is certainly not the situation the Bills, or their fans, expected in this 2025 season that, early on, felt like everything was lined up for Buffalo to finally get to the Super Bowl.
Instead, given all their injuries and the various areas on the roster that have underperformed all year, the Bills have tumbled down the various power rankings, and the oddsmakers no longer consider them the AFC favorite, let alone the Super Bowl favorite.
To say this is a massive game for Buffalo, but also for the 6-5 Steelers, would be an understatement.
The Democrat and Chronicle will be providing live updates all day and night.

On Saturday, the Bills activated offensive tackle Tylan Grable from injured reserve where he has resided since the end of training camp.
Now we’ll see if the Bills throw him right into the fire against the Steelers because both starting tackles, Dion Dawkins and Spencer Brown, are out with injuries. Ryan Van Demark is expected to start at left tackle in place of Dawkins, and the options at right tackle are Grable, rookie Chase Lundt, or Alec Anderson who is primarily an interior player.
No matter what the Bills decide, it’s a way less than ideal scenario against a Steelers defense that can certainly generate pressure off the edge with players like TJ Watt, Nate Herbig, and Alex Highsmith who is expected to return to action after missing two games.

The tight end was limited all week in practice, and once the Bills announced on Saturday that tight end Keleki Latu was one of their practice squad elevations, it all but confirmed that Kincaid will miss his third straight game.
This means Dawson Knox and Jackson Hawes will get the majority of the reps, though last week in Houston, Knox played 86% of the snaps while Hawes had just 33%. Latu was active for that game, but he played only 12% of the time, eight snaps in all, though he did play 16 special teams snaps.
The other elevation was used on linebacker Baylon Spector because Terrel Bernard is not playing so Spector will join Dorian Williams and Joe Andreessen as backups to Matt Milano and Shaq Thompson.
