Chelsea might have to part with more than £70m to sign Nottingham Forest centre back Murillo according to reports.
The Blues lost Levi Colwill to an ACL injury before the start of the season, and despite public pleas from Enzo Maresca for a replacement, the club didn’t grant his wish.

Chelsea told it will cost £70m to sign Murillo
The Blues have conceded 11 goals in the league this season, but a number of those have come down to poor individual errors.
However, the issues at centre back appear to be sorting themselves out, and Maresca has now seemingly settled on a pairing of Wesley Fofana and Trevoh Chalobah.
Since settling on the duo the Blues have kept four clean sheets in a row in all competitions, although Fofana didn’t play in the win against Burnley.

“I do believe Chelsea have an interest in Murillo, but Forest made a very smart move by signing him onto a new contract at the start of the year and in line with that he’s going to be priced appropriately,” he told TEAMtalk.
“There’s no chance of Chelsea getting a good deal on a player Forest don’t want to lose, who is tied up [by his contract] until 2029.”
Nottingham Forest tough to negotiate with
Jones feels if Chelsea were to make a serious move for Murillo that Nottingham Forest would be hard to deal with.

“We’re still getting signs that Chelsea are in the market for a centre-back, as has been suspected, so this does tie in with that. They’re going to have to decide what level of player they go for and how much they are willing to spend.
“If they look like making a serious title challenge, maybe they decide it really is worth investing at a significant level.”
