It is the final Sunday of November, which means the NFL has entered the stretch run to the playoffs.

Unfortunately, the Cleveland Browns are not in the playoff hunt, but there will still be elevated levels of “juice and vibe” for today’s game as quarterback Shedeur Sanders starts for the first time in front of the home fans.

The Browns will be looking to win consecutive games for the first time since the magical playoff run of 2023, and continue their home dominance of the San Francisco 49ers, who have not won in Cleveland since 1984.

It should be an interesting afternoon on the lakefront and across the NFL, so let’s get the day rolling with the latest news about the Browns and the NFL with the Sunday Dawg Chow.

Dawgs By Nature:
  • Browns plan for Shedeur Sanders should not surprise, but is notable (Jared Mueller) – The Cleveland Browns have a plan for QB Shedeur Sanders moving forward, after naming him a starter for Week 13.

  • 6 takeaways from Cleveland’s coordinators about the 49ers (Thomas Moore) – Recapping the most notable quotes from the Cleveland Browns coordinators ahead of their Week 13 game vs. San Francisco.

  • Browns OC Tommy Rees raves about rookie contributors in latest presser (Matthew Wilson) – Cleveland OC Tommy Rees had a few intriguing things to say about Quinshon Judkins and Dylan Sampson.

  • Browns QB position: 2 scenarios with Shedeur Sanders’ future are wide-ranging (Curtiss Brown) – Shedeur Sanders’ future with the Cleveland Browns is nothing but uncertain. He could be the franchise QB, or the 2026 NFL Draft could bring his replacement.

  • NFL draft: The reason to focus on the 1st round, changing expectations beyond that (Jared Mueller) – NFL draft success rates are low on average around the league, not just with the Cleveland Browns.

  • A Browns Week 13 win versus the 49ers could mean a lot (Abby Mueller) – A win against the San Francisco 49ers could change a lot of the discourse about the Cleveland Browns’ Shedeur Sanders and Kevin Stefanski.

Cleveland Browns:
  • Myles Garrett has sights set on demolishing NFL season sacks record (Browns Zone) – Myles Garrett doesn’t want to just break the single-season sack record, which stands at 22.5. He wants to obliterate it, destroy it, put it out of reach.

  • Can we have a rational discussion about Browns & Shedeur Sanders? (Terry Pluto) – Why didn’t the Browns play Shedeur Sanders earlier? It’s an interesting question, especially after Sanders played well in the Browns’ 24-10 victory over Las Vegas last week. But is it possible the Browns had a plan, even if some fans don’t like it?

  • Browns’ Mason Graham feels it’s ‘coming together’ even without a sack (Beacon Journal) – There’s a steady give and take on the Browns’ defensive line right now. So far, it’s rookie defensive tackle Mason Graham doing a lot of the giving with the work he’s doing helping to create pressure up the middle. The taking has happen from the other guys ion the defensive line, specifically All-Pro defensive end Myles Garrett.

  • Harold Fannin Jr. is turning YAC into an art form and giving the Browns something to lean on (cleveland.com) – Browns offensive coordinator Tommy Rees has added a new coaching point this season thanks to rookie tight end Harold Fannin Jr.

NFL:
  • Chargers’ Mekhi Becton’s performance hasn’t gone according to plan (ESPN) – Los Angeles Chargers guard Mekhi Becton’s frustrations were apparent in L.A.’s 35-6 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 11. In the second quarter on the Chargers’ second drive of the quarter, Becton appeared to be limping for a few plays, and the Chargers sent out offensive lineman Jamaree Salyer to replace him. But Becton repeatedly waved Salyer back to the sideline.

  • Why Thanksgiving night touched Joe Burrow’s emotions and his teammates’ belief (The Athletic) – Joe Burrow stood on the field at M&T Bank Stadium surrounded by his teammates and turkey. A gluttonous spread of turducken, crab, Cincinnati chili and numerous giant turkey legs filled a table while a cornucopia of teammates surrounded the traditional Thanksgiving Day game spoils for the victors. Only, Burrow refused to eat it.

  • ‘Stop the run; have fun’: Steelers must trust the defensive front to win on its own (Pittsburgh Post-Gazette) – The Pittsbugh Steelers’ philosophy on defense always places a priority to stop the run before anything else. Against a Buffalo Bills offense this Sunday, they face a team that leads the NFL with 147.2 rushing yards per game. But the Bills are hardly a one-dimensional offense, as reigning MVP quarterback Josh Allen leads the ninth-ranked passing offense in the NFL.
