The Washington Commanders were busy making roster moves on Saturday.
When they had finished, the Commanders (3-8) had made five moves in preparation for their Sunday night home contest against the 9-2 Denver Broncos.

Elevated DE T.J. Maguranyanga from the practice squad
Placed WR Ja'Corey Brooks on the practice squad injured list
Harris broke a bone in his lower leg in the Week 3 home win against the Raiders. Head coach Dan Quinn had volunteered last week that he was excited about Harris' progress and was hopeful he would be back this week.
Magurangyanga, an international player, was a rugby player in his past. This move is the most surprising of the moves, because there has been no indication all season long that he is making progress, or that he was ready to be given a shot in an NFL game. The 22-year-old is listed on the Commanders roster as 6-4, 222. That is awfully light for a defensive end in the NFL. At only 222 pounds, would the Commanders use him for anything other than coverage teams and clear pass-rushing downs?
Brooks, a rookie, has been on the practice squad most of the season. He did appear in one Commanders' game this season, as he played on seven offensive snaps in the Monday Night Football home loss to the Bears.

Triner has gained 84 games of NFL experience, having been a long snapper for both the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2019-2024) and the Miami Dolphins (2024).
