Steph Curry won't play vs. Pelicans due to quad injury
Curry suffered the injury during Golden State's recent 104-100 loss to the Houston Rockets. He is expected to miss around a week of game action due to the issue, which is a relief to the Warriors organization, as Curry appears to have avoided a more serious injury.
“It’s a big relief,” Warriors coach Steve Kerr said of the injury. “You always worry when Steph goes down that it’s something that’s going to keep him out for a while. So, the fact that we’re taking it by the week and doesn’t appear to be anything too serious is a great sign. It gives us relief for sure.”

His productive play hasn’t been enough to lift the Warriors above mediocrity, though. Through 20 games of action, the Warriors are eighth in the Western Conference standings with a record of 10-10. They’ll look to move above .500 with a win over the Pelicans on Saturday night.
The matchup between the Warriors and Pelicans will be the second of the season, as Golden State pulled out a 124-106 victory over New Orleans earlier this month. Overall, the Warriors hold a five-game win streak over the Pelicans that they’ll look to extend to six.
