December 1 will be a great day for Teen Wolf fans, who will have a new chance to (re)watch their favorite TV show. The 2000s and 2010s saw the release of some of the most popular teen dramas ever as well as some of the best fantasy TV shows of all time – and falling into both categories is Teen Wolf.
Developed by Jeff Davis, Teen Wolf is a reimagining of the 1985 movie of the same name, written by Jeph Loeb and starring Michael J. Fox. Teen Wolf takes the audience to the fictional town of Beacon Hills, California, to meet high school student Scott McCall (Tyler Posey). One night, Scott is bitten by an alpha werewolf, and so he becomes the title teen werewolf.
What follows are Scott’s struggles to balance being a teenager, a werewolf, and the changes the latter brings, even when in his human form, all of this while accompanied by his best friend, Stiles Stilinski (Dylan O’Brien). Teen Wolf was very popular during its run, and its audience will be happy to know they can stream it again on Netflix soon.
Teen Wolf Is Coming Back To Netflix On December 1st After 10 Years
Scott in Teen Wolf
Unlike other popular TV shows that aren’t currently streaming anywhere, all seasons of Teen Wolf have had a home on Hulu, with Prime Video having four seasons available. However, Teen Wolf is about to get a new home in December that is familiar to it, as it used to stream there.
Netflix has confirmed that Teen Wolf is coming to its catalog on December 1st, after a long absence of ten years. According to What’s On Netflix, Teen Wolf streamed on Netflix in the early 2010s and was removed in 2015. Luckily for fans of the show, all six seasons will be available to stream starting on December 1st.
It’s unknown why Netflix removed Teen Wolf a decade ago and why it took so long to bring it back, but, as it happens with many other movies and shows and with other streaming platforms, it’s possible that Netflix didn’t have the streaming rights to the show anymore.
Is The Teen Wolf Movie Also Coming To Netflix? Where To Watch
Tyler Posey as Scott transforming in Teen Wolf The Movie
Teen Wolf ran from 2011 to 2017, but in 2023, fans of the show reunited with most of the original cast in Teen Wolf: The Movie. The movie is a continuation of the show, and it sees Scott running an animal shelter in Los Angeles, but when an old threat returns, it’s up to him to protect his old town of Beacon Hills.
Teen Wolf: The Movie was released on Paramount+ on January 26, 2023, and at the time of writing, there’s no word on whether it will also be added to Netflix or not. For now, Teen Wolf: The Movie can still be streamed on Paramount+, and for those wanting to revisit Teen Wolf or watch it for the first time, just wait until December 1st to watch it on Netflix.
