Ohio State star receivers Jeremiah Smith and Carnell Tate are expected to play vs. Michigan, according to Pete Thamel of ESPN.
Ohio State vs. Michigan is a game every player wants to play in, and will do anything they can to get healthy enough to be a part of the annual grudge match. And while the Ohio State availability report lists star OSU receivers as questionable for the game Saturday, Thamel cites sources close to the situation that confirm the two will play.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementWe received encouraging signs leading up to the contest from both Day and Smith himself, and the two did make the trip, but we also have to wonder how effective the pair will be when the ball is put on the turf to play this thing.
Tate has been on the shelf for three straight games, while Smith played to start the Rutgers game but was taken out of the game and seen limping significantly afterwards. If both play, and both are close to 100%, this can only be good news for Ohio State's chances of ending the four-game losing streak against Michigan.
It's almost time. Here's to hoping the better team wins this time around up in Ann Arbor.
