It took Micah Parsons only 11 games to accomplish something that hasn't been done in Green Bay since the 2020 season. With two sacks of J.J. McCarthy during Sunday's win over the Minnesota Vikings, Parsons hit 10.0 sacks for the season -- and he not only ran his streak with double-digit sacks to five straight seasons to start his pro career, but he also became the first Packer player since Za'Darius Smith in 2020 to get at least 10.0 sacks in a season.

Smith, a Pro Bowler in both 2019 and 2020, produced 12.5 sacks during the 2020 season after creating 13.5 during his first season in Green Bay the season prior.

The five-year stretch without a 10-sack player between 2020 and 2025 ended up tied for the longest in Packers history. There were five seasons between Ezra Johnson's 14.5-sack season in 1983 and Tim Harris' 13.5-sack season in 1988.

Through 11 games in 2025, Parsons has 10.0 sacks, 20 quarterback hits and an NFL-best 60 pressures, per Next Gen Stats. He is on pace for 15 sacks, 30 quarterback hits and 92 pressures.

Parsons' career-high for sacks is 14.0, set in 2023. His 10.0 sacks through 12 weeks are the third most in his career and tied for the ninth most by a Packer in team history.

Parsons has created the production despite being one of the NFL's most double-teamed edge rushers. On one snap on Sunday, the Vikings committed three different blockers to Parsons, preventing him from wrecking the game as he had done several times during the first three quarters.

According to Pro Football Reference, which now tracks sacks back to 1960, Parsons has the 42nd season in Packers history with at least 10 sacks.

The team record for sacks in a season is 19.5, set by Harris in 1989.
