Final Prediction: Will Lane Kiffin pick LSU over Ole Miss and Florida?

Decision time is here, at least we think. Lane Kiffin will coach Ole Miss in the Egg Bowl on Friday, and not long after, reports or an announcement will reveal Kiffin's next stop.

Kiffin has three options -- stay at Ole Miss, leave for LSU, or bolt for Florida.

Over the last month, every fanbase has been confident at one point or another that Kiffin would be their coach in 2026.

Last week, Ole Miss AD Keith Carter said an announcement on Kiffin's future would be made after the Egg Bowl, which is slated to kick off at 11 a.m. CT on Friday.

LSU has made Kiffin the top priority of its coaching search. Kiffin is No. 1 on the Tigers' wishlist and LSU hasn't spent much attention anywhere else. If Kiffin turns the Tigers down, LSU will be forced to quickly pivot.

LSU has gone all out in its pursuit of Kiffin, offering a contract nearing $100 million. LSU is prepared to give Kiffin significant roster resources, too, with LSU promising a roster worth $25 million.

Plenty of Kiffin theories have floated around the internet this week.

A common commentary has been, if Kiffin was going to stay at Ole Miss, wouldn't he have announced it by now? Wouldn't the extension already be signed?

The last couple of weeks have been awkward in Oxford and it could have been avoided if Kiffin knew he was staying at Ole Miss.

Of course, it's possible Kiffin genuinely doesn't know what he's doing. There's yet to be any report expressing confidence in Kiffin's next step.

Last weekend, several reports indicated LSU was in pole position to Lane Kiffin. ESPN's Pete Thamel said LSU was considered the biggest threat to poach Kiffin. CBS Sports echoed that sentiment in their report. Still, everyone is just guessing.

The reports tying Kiffin to LSU are enough to give me a shred of confidence. When it's all said and done, I think Kiffin will be LSU's next head coach.
